A sump pump is a water management device installed in a pit (sump basin) at the lowest point of your basement or crawl space. As groundwater or surface water collects in the pit, the pump automatically activates and discharges the water safely away from your foundation through an outlet pipe. It is one of the most effective tools for preventing basement flooding and managing chronic moisture issues.
